Our story

A family kitchen, open to the street

Amber & Loaf started in 2014 when Elena and her father Marco turned the ground floor of their building into a bakery with a few tables. We still bake every loaf and pastry before sunrise, in the same ovens Marco chose by hand, and we still pull espresso the way Elena learned in her first job on Fillmore Street. Our kids do homework at the corner table after school, and regulars know us — and each other — by name. Come in, take your coat off, and stay as long as you like.
